That transparency also reveals where a method breaks down, which is often more valuable than a flawless demonstration. Editors should therefore choose cases that are representative without being overcomplicated, explain unusual details, and vary the scenarios enough to show the rule’s limits. Carefully designed examples turn passive reading into a practical form of reasoning, while poorly chosen ones can conceal errors behind an appearance of clarity.
